My Story

It’s a classic if not literal “grass is greener on the other side” tale. Caring for gardens and mowing lawns is a world away from editing newspapers. But, after a long career in the latter and hankering for a life in the outdoors, Darren Grant set up Munch Mowing in early 2012. With a keen interest in horticulture and sustainable gardening practices, it was a chance to step out in a new direction. Many lawns later, he’s still hard at it, is based in Narangba, and rides racing bikes in his spare time to keep fit for mowing.
